Where We Have Been & Where We Are Going
2023
Spring
CARE Certified Standard for dairy will undergo a 30-day Public Comment Period.
2005
Dairy Expert Review Committee established for each individual Standard. They reviewed the Standards and recommended changes based on science to ensure continuous improvement of all approved dairy farms.
2006
Onsite audits begin for Animal Welfare Review, Environmental Review and Worker Care Review.
2018
All three Standards bundled together by one farm is officially branded as ValidusCARE.
2005
Validus Verification Services, a division of Where Food Comes From, develops three separate Standards - Animal Welfare Review, Environmental Review and Worker Care Review.
2010
The very first labeled dairy products hit shelves with the Animal Welfare Review label on them.
2019
December
ValidusCARE officially rebranded as CARE Certified, a sustainability Standard for the Dairy industry.
2020
January
Dairy is added to the suite of CARE Certified Standards.
